Mr Babalele Abdullahi was released late last night.
Reports have it that Abdullahi was released after the anti-graft agency invited Tanimu Turaki, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) leading the defence team of Atiku to sign a bail document for him. He was also detained in the process.
PDP, therefore, reacted to Turaki’s arrest as a staged plan by Buhari and his cabal to intimidate their leaders by using power from above.
The Commission arrested Mr Babalele, over an alleged €150 million money laundering. Atiku’s son-in-law was arrested on the ground that he could use hard currency to unduly influence the outcome of many polls taking place in the country.
Recently the PDP had asked EFCC to release Atiku’s son-in-law, noting that his arrest was not justified.
