The victory took PSG 17 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, with them also having a game in hand on second-placed Lille as they are closing in on their second successive title – and sixth in seven years. Meanwhile, PSG have gone out of the Champions League last 16 three years in a row.
Kylian Mbappe has said he had been unable to sleep since that defeat, but he doubled his side’s lead against Dijon from Layvin Kurzawa cross after Marquinhos had earlier glanced in a header from Di Maria’s corner.
The Argentine’s 22-yard curling free-kick made it 3-0 and Thomas Meunier set up Choupo-Moting to seal the routine victory, PSG’s sixth successive Ligue 1 win.R
ashford’s controversial injury-time penalty had Pushed PSG out of Europe and Tuchel was still unhappy about that decision after the Dijon match.
“We must accept that result was an accident,” said Tuchel of the loss to the Red Devils. “I want our supporters to show we’re all together, that’s the only thing to do.
“One VAR decision must not change that. The supporters are disappointed, like us, but now is the time to stay calm and maintain confidence in this team.”
