The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, disclosed this in a statement late Thursday in Abuja.

Babandede said the closure of the land borders is with effect from Friday noon to Sunday noon, adding that the aim is to restrict movement across the borders of the affected states during the supplementary election.

“The public is to take note and ensure compliance,” he said.

“Following the inconclusive governorship elections in the 6 states, the Commission fixed supplementary elections for the 23rd of March 2019”.
